Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Josh Brecheen voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena. Garland has refused to hand over audiotapes of Special Counsel Robert Hur's interviews with President Joe Biden. “What is Merrick Garland and the Biden Administration trying to hide? The American people deserve to hear the tapes, especially when Special Counsel Hur described the President of the United States as an ‘elderly man with a poor memory.’ Unfortunately, the Biden Administration continues its troubling pattern of lawlessness—brazenly defying subpoenas, targeting political opponents, and thumbing their nose at the Constitution,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen. ###
