Homeland Security Committee
- The House Homeland Security Committee was formally established in the wake of 9/11 to protect Americans from the threat of terrorism. Along with serving on the full committee, Rep. Brecheen serves as a Member of the Emergency Management and Technology Subcommittee and as the Chairman of the Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability (OIA) Subcommittee.
Budget Committee
- The House Budget Committee’s power is derived from Article I of the Constitution, which grants Congress the power of the purse. As such, the Budget Committee is integrally involved with the annual budget resolution, reconciliation, and holding Congress accountable for the deficit spending that occurs each year.
House Freedom Caucus
- Congressman Brecheen is also a Member of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC), the premier conservative caucus on Capitol Hill. As a member of HFC, Rep. Brecheen works with other strong conservatives to hold feet to fire and act as a phalanx during tough negotiations to achieve true conservative outcomes in the House.
