Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Josh Brecheen voted in favor of H.R. 7109 – The Equal Representation Act, which would ensure that a citizenship question is added to the census and that illegal aliens are not counted toward apportionment for congressional districts or the Electoral College.

“This legislation is common sense, especially when President Biden has allowed more than nine million illegal aliens to invade our country. With a stroke of a pen, President Biden could end our border crisis for good by enforcing existing immigration laws, but he refuses to do so. The only explanation for President Biden’s lack of action is that he knows that this flow of illegal immigrants will help Democrats at the ballot box this November,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen.

Earlier in the day, Congressman Brecheen highlighted the costs of President Biden’s border crisis during a House Budget Committee hearing.

You can watch a clip of those remarks here.

“You would not believe what the federal government is giving illegal aliens in terms of work permits, social security benefits, Obamacare, refundable tax credits, Medicare/Medicaid, food stamps, federal student college aid, and more. This is a slap in the face to the American taxpayer and it must be stopped,” said Brecheen.
