America's $38 trillion national debt is increasing at over $70,000 per second. To stop the growing debt crisis, Congress must enact real change, not merely uphold the status quo. While I recognize that the process of righting our national budget will come with growing pains, we must remember Thomas Jefferson's warning that "public debt [is] the greatest of the dangers to be feared."

If we wish to survive as a nation and preserve the Republic for our children and grandchildren, Congress must stop spending money we do not have and work to eliminate the waste, fraud, and abuse currently found within the federal government.
