Washington, D.C. – In honor of National Police Week, Congressman Josh Brecheen and House Republicans passed several bills and resolutions to support state and local police officers.

“This week we come together to express our sincerest gratitude toward the law enforcement officers in Oklahoma and across the country who stand as the line between order and chaos in our communities. We honor their courage and will never forget the fallen officers who gave their lives in service to our communities and country,” said Congressman Josh Brecheen

Congressman Josh Brecheen voted in favor of the following:

  • H.R. 7530 - DC CRIMES Act, ensures violent criminals in D.C. are no longer able to get out of a tough sentence just because of their age.
  • H. Res. 1210 - Condemning the Biden border crisis and the tremendous burdens law enforcement officers face as a result.
  • H.R. 7581 - Improving Law Enforcement Officer Safety and Wellness Through Data Act, which would require the Attorney General to develop reports relating to violent attacks against law enforcement officers.
  •  H.R. 7343 - Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act, which requires the Department of Homeland Security to take custody of any illegal alien who meets certain inadmissibility criteria and is arrested for, is charged with, is convicted of, or admits to assaulting a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or other first responder.
  • H.R. 354 – To amend title 18, United States Code, to improve the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act and provisions relating to the carrying of concealed weapons by law enforcement officers.
