Congressman Josh Brecheen (OK-02) Sworn In To 118th Congress

Swearing in as Member of the 118th Congress

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Josh Brecheen was sworn in to the 118th Congress by the House Speaker as the United States Representative from Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District.

“It is an incredible honor that the voters of Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District have entrusted me to be their voice in Washington. Our unsustainable deficit spending (that’s driving inflation), broken borders, unchecked bureaucracy, and woke policies are undermining our Republic. My commitment to the district is that my voice and votes will reflect conscience and not political calculation. Washington D.C. is full of a careerism mentality where image management, self-protection, and self-interest have overridden national interest for too long. I’m convinced only a return to biblical morality and Constitutional adherence can bring about the course correction our nation so badly needs. All of us must be a part of the solution, exerting influence within our homes and communities, as politics remains downstream of culture.”

A 4th generation rancher, Congressman Brecheen is a committed Christian, husband, father, and a small business owner. He resides in Coal County with his wife, Kacie, and their three youngest children (four children total and ranging in age from 22 to 1).

Brecheen served two terms in the Oklahoma State Senate, keeping his campaign pledge to leave state office after eight years. He authored the bill that put a cap on state debt, led the fight against Common Core and tax hikes, and took a firm stand for policies that protect life and family values.

Before holding state office, Brecheen served as a long-time field rep for the late U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. Congressman Brecheen’s Washington, D.C. office is open and located at 1208 Longworth House Office Building. His staff looks forward to hosting constituent visitors.
