Congressman Josh Brecheen Stands With Israel In Face Of Attacks From Terrorist Groups Across The Middle East

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Josh Brecheen voted for H.R. 7217, “Making emergency supplemental appropriations to respond to the attacks in Israel for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024.”

“Though I preferred the Israel supplemental that the House passed back in November, which was paid for with spending cuts to the IRS, America has played a unique role in Israel’s history since its founding in 1948 and those with a biblical worldview understand that America is blessed when we stand with Israel. The strength of Israel directly relates to our own national security when 160 attacks have occurred against American forces since October 7th and the inflationary impact of American goods now having to bypass critical shipping lanes in the Red Sea. Part of this funding package will include dollars to our own military forces who are serving in the Middle East. What is a shame is that President Biden vowed to veto this legislation specific to Israel because he does not want to give up leverage for his true prize—a package deal that includes $60 billion more for the war in Ukraine, which I will not support” said Congressman Josh Brecheen.
