America and Oklahomans Must Stand with Israel

In the days and weeks ahead, Congress will continue to work to ensure that Israel has all the resources necessary to defend itself. Supporting Israel in our actions is what counts, not just our statements. The whole world is watching and America cannot sit idly by while terrorists try to wipe Israel off the map.

Many of us woke up recently to horrific news out of Israel after Hamas Jihadists brutally attacked the country, killing more than 1,300 innocent civilians. 

These terrorists burned people alive, kidnapped and raped women, and even killed as many as 40 babies, some beheaded. 27 Americans have so far been killed and an unknown number kidnapped. 

These attacks are nothing short of pure evil. 

America must stand in solidarity with Israel against these unprecedented attacks and we must do everything in our power to ensure Israel has the necessary resources to obliterate Hamas. 

Here are the actions I have taken so far with much more to come:

  • Co-sponsored legislation condemning both Hamas and Iran and reaffirming the United States’ commitment to Israel’s security.
  • Co-sponsored the Stop Harboring Iranian Petroleum Act to sanction any individual who engages in petroleum trade originating in Iran
  • Cosponsored Rep. Pfluger's and Rep. Hern’s bill that freezes and sanctions the $6 billion that was unfrozen and released to Iran as part of the prisoner swap deal. 
  • Joined Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) in calling on President Biden to reimplement sanctions on Iran and refreeze the $16 billion in funds that were unfrozen as part of a prisoner swap and Iraq’s energy repayment. Iran is the largest backer of Hamas, therefore these funds are likely being used against Israel. Unfreezing this money was a massive mistake and that is why we are calling on President Biden to reverse this irresponsible decision. 
  • Joined my colleagues on the House Homeland Security Committee in demanding that President Biden re-examine his actions and inactions on Iran and its terrorist proxies. 
  • Joined House Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry (R-PA) in demanding that potential future Ukraine aid is not lumped in with assistance for Israel.
