Congressman Brecheen Pens an Op-Ed to the American Conservative on The Healthy SNAP Act

"How can we, in good conscience, call a program that actively contributes to such devastating health outcomes compassionate? Public policy that genuinely reflects our care for fellow Americans should encourage them to lead long, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Common sense legislation like the Healthy SNAP Act would do just that.

If we are truly committed to Making America Healthy Again, we must take action now to reform SNAP, cut wasteful government spending, and prioritize the health and well-being of the American people."

Congressman Brecheen's Exclusive with Daily Wire

Under the Biden administration, waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars was rampant throughout the executive branch, including within DHS. I am honored to chair a subcommittee that is dedicated to conducting oversight so DHS can accomplish its core homeland security mission effectively, transparently, and for the good of every American.

I look forward to working with our witnesses to identify where DHS has fallen most behind in this effort, including FEMA's struggle with providing disaster relief, DHS’ bloated contracts with non-governmental organizations that helped facilitate record illegal immigration into the country, and the department’s involvement in censoring Americans, which undermined civil liberties.

Congressman Brecheen Co-Leads Bill with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene to Make English the Official Language of the United States

This week, we joined Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene as the co-lead on her English Language Unity Act, which would make English the official language of the United States. When our ancestors drew forth a nation from a vast continent, they were speaking English; when Americans tamed the West, we spoke English; when Americans conquered the Moon, we did so speaking English.

Throughout American history, Anglo-Saxon characteristics, such as the English language, have bound together our nation. It's an honor to be working with her on this effort.

Congressman Brecheen's Office is Taking Artwork for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, a nationwide high school art competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation and our congressional district.

The 2025 theme for Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District is: “America: Out of Many, One”

Entries are open to all students in Grades 9-12 in Oklahoma’s 2nd District. The overall winner of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will also include artwork from other contest winners nationwide. The winner will receive roundtrip airfare provided for themselves and, one guest to Washington D.C., and two tickets to the winner's reception on June 11, 2025.
